Terms and Conditions

The short version: Our guidance is educational and supportive, never a replacement for a clinician who has examined you. Use emergency services for emergencies. If you send us an enquiry, we will treat it seriously and reply in good faith.

Accepting these terms

By browsing this website, submitting an enquiry or subscribing to the newsletter, you accept these terms on the basis described on this page. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or the services, and no harm is done — you can simply leave.

What our service is — and is not

Online Health Aid provides health guidance, care navigation, screening support and insurance advocacy. It is not a hospital, not an emergency service, not a laboratory, not a pharmacy and not a substitute for a clinician who can examine you.

  • Guidance given in writing is general in nature and is offered to help you understand, prepare and decide.
  • Only an in-person assessment by a licensed professional can establish a diagnosis, and we will tell you when one is needed.
  • We do not prescribe, dispense or deliver medication, and we do not arrange treatment abroad.
  • Where we help you prepare for an appointment, the clinical decisions remain with the treating clinician.

Emergencies come first

If you have symptoms that could be serious — chest pain, sudden weakness or numbness, difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, a seizure, thoughts of harming yourself or anyone else — stop reading and contact your local emergency number immediately. Do not use the enquiry form, email or newsletter for urgent matters, because an online service is the wrong tool for that moment.

Sending us an enquiry

You agree to describe your situation honestly, including relevant medications, diagnoses and previous advice, because an inaccurate history produces an inaccurate opinion. You keep the right to decline any suggestion, and to seek a second opinion — we actively encourage it when something feels unresolved.

Replies are sent to the details you provide. If your circumstances change before we answer, add an update; a stale question can lead to guidance that no longer fits.

Scope of paid work

Anything beyond a single guidance reply is agreed in advance: what is included, who handles it, and what it costs. No service begins, and no charge arises, before you have confirmed it. Where a specialist, dentist, laboratory or clinic is involved, their own terms and fees apply alongside ours, and we will point that out before you book.

Our content, your use of it

Articles, service descriptions and materials on this site belong to Online Health Aid unless credited otherwise. You may read them, share a link, and quote a short extract with attribution. You may not republish whole pages as your own content, present our guidance as a product, or use the material to train or seed an automated service.

Trademarks, layout and illustration style remain ours. If you would like to reuse something more broadly, ask — we usually say yes to educators and say no to scrapers.

Conduct on our channels

We expect the courtesy we offer. Abusive, threatening or deliberately false messages, attempts to access the site beyond what is publicly available, and use of the enquiry form for advertising, politics or solicitation may end the conversation. We will say so plainly first wherever it is safe and sensible to do that.

The newsletter

Subscription requires a confirmed email address, so an unconfirmed subscription is not active. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe, and the preference page lets you stop without leaving a trace beyond the deletion record we keep to honour the request. Service messages connected to care you have asked for — enquiry replies, appointment reminders, claim updates — are not marketing and continue while that work is live.

Accuracy and changes to content

Medicine moves, and so does insurance. We review articles periodically and correct errors when they are reported; we may also update guidance without prior notice. Nothing on this site should be treated as a standing promise about what a policy will cover or what a clinic will charge.

Disclaimers

The website and its content are provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that guidance obtained online will produce any particular outcome. We are not responsible for the content, pricing or conduct of third-party providers we may point you towards.

Limitation of liability

Where the law allows, our liability arising from use of this website or from guidance given through it is limited to the fees paid for the service in question. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights. If you act on written guidance and something goes wrong, tell us — we would rather fix it than argue about it.

Responsibility for what you submit

You are responsible for information you send us and for how you use the material you read here. If a claim arises because information you supplied was knowingly false, or because content was reused in breach of these terms, you accept responsibility for the consequences to the extent the law allows.

When we cannot deliver

Outages, natural events, network failures and public health disruption can delay a reply. We will tell you when we expect to be back, and we will not let an emergency be handled by a queue — which is exactly why urgent symptoms need emergency services rather than us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The version published on this page is the one that applies to current use; where a change materially affects paid work in progress, we will flag it in the correspondence rather than quietly rely on the new wording.

Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and Online Health Aid regarding use of this website, superseding anything said in passing on social media or in forwarded messages.

Which law, and who to contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions, complaints or requests for clarification can go to our team by email; we would always rather resolve something by conversation first.
