Privacy Policy

The short version: We collect only what we need to answer you properly, we never sell it, health details are treated as confidential, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time.
What we collect
We keep collection deliberately narrow. There are four buckets, and nothing outside them is gathered for its own sake.
- Contact details you give us. Name, email address, phone number if you offer one, and the country you write from.
- The content of your enquiry. Whatever you choose to describe about your health, plus any documents you attach — results, letters, policy documents.
- Newsletter preferences. Your email address, the topics you select and how often you want to hear from us.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs such as browser type, device category and the page you arrived from, used to keep the site working.
We do not use advertising trackers on this website, we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors, and we do not ask for payment details through the contact form.
Why we use it
Every use maps to something you would reasonably expect from a health guidance service:
- To read your question and reply with useful, safe guidance.
- To route your enquiry to the right service desk, including our insurance advisers.
- To prepare a summary before an appointment you have asked us to arrange.
- To send the newsletter you asked for, at the frequency you chose.
- To keep records accurate where a professional opinion was given.
- To detect and repair faults, abuse or security problems on the website.
Health information, treated carefully
Anything you tell us about symptoms, diagnoses, medications, dental treatment, mental health, hair or skin concerns, weight, memory or family history is handled as confidential clinical-adjacent information. It is read only by the team members involved in answering you.
We do not use your health details for advertising, we do not share them with insurers or employers unless you instruct us to for a specific purpose — typically a claim or a referral — and we will tell you exactly what is being sent, to whom, before it leaves.
Who else ever sees it
Only three categories, and each is bound by confidentiality of its own:
- Our clinical and administrative team. Everyone with access is contracted to keep it private.
- Infrastructure providers. Secure hosting and email delivery services that store data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.
- Anyone you point us at. A doctor, clinic or insurer you ask us to contact, limited to what you approve.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose something, we tell you first unless we are forbidden from doing so.
Cookies and local storage
This site is built to stay quiet. Your browser may keep a small amount of local data so that the newsletter pages remember which address you typed and whether a subscription was confirmed in this browser. That data never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
If you use the enquiry form, the information you submit is transmitted to us and stored in our secure correspondence system. No third-party advertising cookies are placed by this website.
How long we keep things
Enquiry threads are kept while the matter is open and for a sensible period afterwards, so that a clinician answering you later can see what was already advised. Newsletter records exist only as long as your subscription does — confirm an unsubscribe and the address and preferences are deleted from sending lists promptly.
Server logs are short-lived. Documents you attach are stored alongside your enquiry, not in a separate marketing database, and they go when the enquiry record goes.
Your rights and controls
Whichever country you write from, these are the controls we honour as standard:
- Access. Ask what we hold about you and we will send it.
- Correction. Fix anything wrong — especially medication or allergy details.
- Deletion. Ask us to erase your enquiry record, and we will, unless a specific legal duty requires us to keep it, in which case we explain that duty.
- Restriction and objection. Tell us to stop processing for a purpose, and that purpose stops.
- Portability. Request your correspondence in a transferable format.
- Withdraw consent. One click in any newsletter, or the unsubscribe page, at any time.
Make a request by email and you will get a human acknowledgement, not a ticket number.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the people who need it, credentials are protected, stored data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the correspondence system is backed up rather than replicated openly. We review who has access whenever the team changes.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever put your information at real risk, we would tell you what happened, what we know, and what you should do — rather than stay quiet.
Children and vulnerable adults
Guidance about a child is provided to the parent, guardian or carer who contacts us. We do not seek information from children, and we ask carers not to include a child’s details beyond what is necessary to answer the question.
Links to other websites
Articles here may link to labs, insurers, guidelines or product pages. Once you follow a link, this policy no longer applies — the destination has its own terms, and we encourage you to read them.
If this policy changes
We will update this page and, where the change affects how your information is used, tell newsletter subscribers and open enquiry threads directly. Material changes take effect from the moment we publish the revised policy.
Questions about privacy
If anything here is unclear, or you want to exercise a right listed below, write to us and a person — not an automated queue — will handle it.
